She found it rather shocking to see what the word 'obesity' means in real life.  "I'm fortunate and come from quite a healthy family, and I have no direct experience of seeing such things like diabetes.  I really am completely unaware of what it's like to live with diseases linked to obesity, and this program was good in showing that".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here at MyNutmeg we believe in eating healthily:  no fad diets, no weird and wonderful food combinations, just a healthy balance of fresh food.  (And Alice has to watch her portion sizes!) He suggests trying Kale as there is loads of it around at the moment and it's pretty cheap.  Try stir-frying with soy sauce, garlic and chilli or add it to soups and casseroles.  Choose the young small leaves for side dishes and larger leaves for soups and casseroles.  Its full of good stuff too such as vitamins A, C and E as well as Iron, calcium and potassium.
